SAPS Renewal Licence Supporting Documents

Please use the form below to securely submit all of the required supporting documents for your SAPS Firearm Licence Renewal. Note that all of the information is required, so please do not begin uploading until you have the following:

1. Proof of Address

2. Copy of your ID Document (front and rear if credit card ID

3. Three written interview questionnaires DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE

   1. Two interview questionnaires must be completed by family member, friends, neighbours or colleagues.

   2. One interview questionnaire must be completed by your spouse. **If unmarried or divorced, one interview questionnaire must be completed by any family member.

4. Two written testimonials obtained from any person who provided an interview questionnaire as per #3 above. They must be signed with the persons ID number and must specify your character and why they support your application.

5. Copies of Proficiency Training Certificates.

6. Copies of Proficiency Statement of Results.

7. Copies of your SAPS Competency Certificate.

8. Copies of your SAPS Licence to be renewed.

9. If applicable - details & copies of your existing firearm licences.

10. Picture showing the outside of your safe.

11. Picture showing the inside of your safe.
